About the project

Fears Be Gone is my Graduation Video Game Project for my final year in University. It is a Puzzle Adventure video game being made by a team of 5 Game Designers and 2 Artists.

 

The duration of the project spanned over 1 Academic Year (or 8 total months or 2 semesters).

Brief Overview

The core theme of Fears be Gone can be summed up as:

"Fighting against Nightmares"

The player plays an Imaginary Teddy Bear named Mr.Snuggles who goes on an adventure inside the nightmarish dreams of a small kid. The goal is to fight against the nightmares and turn the dream into a pleasant one.

Since Fears be Gone is entirely based inside a child's dream world, we opted to design the levels keeping a very surrealistic tone. We took inspirations from many surrealistic architecture and designs and most notably, from the wonderful works of M.C. Escher.
