About the project

Fortnite is a co-op action building survival game being actively developed by Epic Games. The game allows the players to build massive forts using resources found around the world to survive hordes of zombies. The resources are also used to craft weapons and traps which are required during combat.

My responsibilities
  • Balancing of Hero Abilities in terms of Damage, Cooldowns, Area of Effect, Energy Consumption etc

  • Balance of Gadgets and Traps

  • Working with the UI team to display all the hero attributes correctly in the Main Screen.

  • Scripting new Hero Abilities and modifying old ones using the Blueprints system in Unreal Engine.

  • Scripting tooltips for all hero abilities, gadgets and traps to explain their functions while also displaying their attribute values.

  • Fixing bugs related to Heroes or Gadgets or Traps or Tooltips.

Other than the tasks listed above, I helped the design team balance missions with zombie horde waves which the players need to complete in order to progress in the game.
