About the project

This is a series of 5 levels made for the universe of Lara Croft Go. The gameplay and puzzles use the same GPIs (Game Play Ingredients) of that of the original game. The series of 5 levels was built within 5 days as part of an intensive week project for university.

However, since Lara Croft Go does not come with a level editor, all the levels are scripted and modeled from scratch using UE4 and 3Ds Max (except the model of Lara Croft and the Snakes).

Brief Overview

Lara Croft is on the hunt for the 'Treasure of the Century' which takes her to the unforgiving Amazon rainforests. The 'Treasure of the Century' is rumored to hold so much power that whoever finds it will be able to control the world. It is now upto Lara to dodge the dangers of the rainforest and find the treasure before it falls into the wrong hands.

The design

The levels in the Lara Croft Go mod uses a mixture of 4 GPIs from the original game:

1) Cracked Platform Blocks - Lara can step on these platforms only once. Stepping on the platform a second time causes Lara to either fall down to death or to another platform below.

2) Levers - These are basic switches containing an on and off state. Activating a level causes a set of moving platforms to displace in any direction. It is possible to change the state of the switches as many times as required. The player must be on the same platform block as the lever to activate/deactivate it.

3) Moving Platform Blocks - These platform blocks are usually connected to lever and move back and forth in any direction based on the stat of the connected level. These moving platforms can be a regular platform or a cracked platform.

3) Snakes - These are the enemies in the levels. Each snake occupies one platform block and can be killed from the directions towards which the snake is not facing. However, if the player reaches the platform block towards which the snake is facing, the player will be killed immediately.
